What is the best season to charter a yacht in Thailand?
The high season runs from November to April, when the Andaman Sea is calm, skies are clear, and water visibility is excellent. May to October is the green season — yachts are 20–40% cheaper, but rougher conditions on the Andaman side mean some operators move to the Gulf of Thailand. December and January are peak weeks; book at least 4–6 weeks ahead.
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Thailand for a day?
Speedboats start from ฿25,000–35,000 ($700–950) per day. Mid-range catamarans for 8–12 guests cost ฿45,000–80,000 ($1,250–2,200). Luxury motor yachts and superyachts range from ฿120,000 to ฿500,000+ ($3,300–14,000) per day. All quoted prices on yacht.day include captain, crew, fuel and standard equipment.
Do I need a license to rent a yacht in Thailand?
No. All charters on yacht.day come with a licensed captain and certified crew. You do not need a boating license, sailing experience, or any documentation beyond a valid passport.
What's included in the charter price?
Standard inclusions: professional captain and crew, fuel, snorkeling gear, drinking water, soft drinks, fresh fruit, towels, safety equipment, and national park fees for many routes. Premium charters often include lunch, alcoholic beverages, watersports toys (SUP, kayak, seabob), and chef-prepared meals.
Can I book a yacht for an overnight or multi-day trip?
Yes — yachts with cabins support overnight charters. Popular multi-day itineraries include Phuket → Phi Phi → Krabi → Koh Lanta (3 days), and the Similan & Surin Islands liveaboard (4–5 days, dive-focused). Multi-day rates typically include all meals, fuel, and overnight anchorage fees.
Is yacht.day a charter operator or a booking platform?
Yacht.day is an independent booking platform that aggregates verified yacht operators across Thailand. We do not own the boats — instead, we vet each operator for licensing, insurance, safety standards, and customer reviews. You book directly through us and pay one transparent price with no hidden commissions.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Standard cancellation policy: full refund if cancelled more than 14 days before departure, 50% refund 7–14 days before, no refund within 7 days. Weather-related cancellations by the captain (for safety reasons) are always fully refunded or rescheduled at no cost. Specific terms appear on each yacht's booking page.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Thai PromptPay, and USDT (TRC-20). All payments are processed in Thai Baht (THB), but the price on the yacht page is automatically converted to your preferred currency.
